Research and teaching

I am a Lecturer in Mathematics at Princeton University and a member of its algebraic geometry group. My research concerns positivity and projective geometry, particularly syzygies, secant varieties, Hilbert schemes of points, vector bundles, and linear systems on curves and surfaces.

Alongside research, I teach and coordinate courses across Princeton's undergraduate mathematics curriculum, advise students in Whitman College, and contribute to university initiatives supporting students in foundational quantitative courses.

Recent work

My current work studies how positivity controls the geometry, singularities, and equations of varieties embedded in projective space.

Teaching and advising

At Princeton

I teach foundational and proof-based mathematics, coordinate multi-section courses, and help students make informed choices as they move through the undergraduate curriculum.

My current teaching includes MAT 103 (Calculus I) and MAT 214 (Numbers, Equations, and Proofs). I am also a faculty adviser in Whitman College, mentor graduate instructors, and supervise undergraduate independent work and research.
