Parking / Shuttle Bus

Parking Instructions:

McDonnell Hall is located between Fine and Jadwin Halls on Washington Road in Princeton.  (For those who don’t know, Fine Hall is the home of the Princeton University Mathematics Department.  We are the tall building—next to the ongoing construction site at the corner of Ivy Lane and Washington Road for Princeton’s new science library.)

  • Construction:  As mentioned earlier, there is ongoing construction next to Fine Hall.  (In fact, Fine Hall is carefully fenced due to a problem with our façade—and that is unrelated to the big library project beneath our windows.)  There will also be construction at the site of the Armory—parking lot #15—and that parking lot will be permanently closed shortly to begin construction on a new Chemistry building.
  • Visitors’ Parking:  There are a very limited number of parking spaces allocated for visitors’ parking in the Jadwin-McDonnell-Fine complex.  These are located on the service road between the complex and the stadium.  (PLEASE NOTE: These spaces go very quickly and parking on the lawn or in unauthorized spaces will result in your vehicle being ticketed, at the very least, booted, or towed!! Our campus security take parking seriously here.)
  • Participants’ parking Parking for all participants’ cars must be in parking lot #21  (See the campus map included on this website; look for “Lot 21/B” on the campus map so that you can see where you must park.)  McDonnell Hall can be reached by walking from lot #21 on a path between DeNunzio Pool and next to lot #15.  (McDonnell Hall is “G/South Campus” on the campus map.)  There is also a Princeton University shuttle that will take participants to Ivy Lane (“B/Guyot-Ivy Lane on the campus map).
