The Defocusing Cubic Nonlinear Wave Equation in the Energy Super-critical Regime

In this talk, we will discuss a series of recent works on the global well-posedness and scattering for the defocusing cubic nonlinear wave equation in the energy super-critical regime, that is dimensions five and higher. More precisely, we show that if a solution remains bounded in the critical Sobolev space throughout its maximal interval of existence then it is global and scatters.
