Title: Detection and Tracking of Moving Objects in Cluttered Enviroments via a Monte Carlo Filter

Abstract:

This is a computer vision/image processing topic; it involves a circle of ideas and tools--deformable templates, dynamical equastions derived from Lagrangian mechanics, and a Monte Carlo type algorithm for solving an underlying nonlinear filtering problem. I will demonstrate the performance of the procedure with video experiments.
