For the equation as eqts2 it seems that we are finding that the "ensemble
route", where pp2r$ is broken down into four terms and then the usable
equation form is expressed as a formula in terms of these and their 4 derivs
w/r/t the strategic variable at issue turns out to be simpler than what
we were able to obtain via direct differentiation of pp2r$.
