Plotting Linear Models

When the graph window appears (often in the upper left corner), please resize the window to get the full view of the graph. Enter r = 0.1 (10% growth rate), P0 = 100, N = 10. To plot both the line given by
linear growth,

and the exponential given by
geometric growth,

click on the "Plot It" button. (If the plots are slow to appear, try moving the mouse over the graphing window.)

Now change the growth rate to -0.1 (10% negative growth) and plot the corresponding line and exponential. Note that the new curves show decreasing populations.

When you are done select "Quit" from the menu.

There is an entry on the menu to the left which will give you help printing out the graphs if you want.
